Matt O’Halloran
Managing Director
Starting his career in 1992, Matt quickly learned the effects of a deep cyclical downturn, how to create value, and perhaps most enduring; the importance of reputation, resilience, and perseverance required to succeed in commercial property.
Matt went on to hold senior agency roles at JLL and DTZ before contributing almost a decade as an Executive Director at Grollo Group and Equiset.
RMIT and Trinity College (University of Melbourne) alumni, and a Licensed Real Estate Agent, Matt has also completed the Harvard Business School – Real Estate Executive Program. He has contributed to industry development by Chairing the PCA Commercial & Industrial Committee, providing guest lectures at University of Melbourne, together with various mentoring initiatives.
In 2016, Matt established Invest Lease and quickly integrated into various clients including exclusive periods at Merricks Capital and Quintessential. Sector expertise expanded from office and residential into land, urban regeneration, mixed use, hotels, and defence.
Matt has built a reputation on integrity and is a highly regarded tactician and negotiator.
He is also a Director of Techne Invest Pty Ltd, and an Advisory Board member of Merricks Capital and Grollo Co.
Peter Papas
Consultant – Capital Markets
Peter is a trusted and highly experienced structured property financier with over 35 years track record, including as Executive Director – Property at ANZ Institutional Banking Group for over 20 years.
Through Calibas One Advisory, he delivers on all facets of property finance, credit, capital & risk management. Peter provides broad strategic and capital advisory services to a number of large Private family offices and wholesale clients.
Capital structuring including debt raising arrangements facilitated by Calibas One Advisory includes, amongst other advice, bilateral financing, CBMS, Syndicated loans and structured debt arrangements across both investment and development real estate assets.
Peter is passionate about real estate and provides valuable independent financing advice, tailored capital solutions and in-depth market insights, as a result of real market and transaction participation.
Peter operates on the philosophy of; “Making A Difference When It Matters” and importantly delivering consistent outcomes and results for all his valued clients.
Robert Buchanan
Consultant – Development & Construction
With over 20 years of experience in global markets and various sectors, Robert has expertise across all stages of the development lifecycle.
He has worked with Tier 1 institutional and private equity organizations, delivering large-scale projects in Australia and the UK across multiple asset classes.
Robert’s comprehensive knowledge from inception to execution allows him to identify and optimise development opportunities. Previously at Quintessential Equity, he led the origination process, including feasibility analysis, acquisitions, and driving sales, marketing, and leasing strategies.
Early in his career, Robert gained expertise in construction with Probuild and development with Lendlease, where he led teams on Europe’s largest mixed-use urban regeneration project, Elephant and Castle, a £1.5 billion project with 2,500 residential apartments. He later drove several phases of the residential-led urban regeneration masterplan at Melbourne’s Victoria Harbour’s Collin’s Wharf.
Rob is currently a Director of Buchanan Everett Property.
Xavier Everett
Consultant – Transactions Management
With over 15 years experience working within Private Equity, Investment Management and Valuations, Xavier has undertaken acquisitions and valuations across various Australian markets and has a breadth of experience across a range of asset classes including retail, office and industrial sectors.
Most recently at Quintessential, Xavier led activities across the transaction process including origination, feasibility analysis, contract negotiation and assisting in capital raising.
Throughout his experience, Xavier has managed more than 15 transactions across both acquisitions and divestments with a combined value exceeding $1.1B.
Prior to Quintessential, Xavier worked within commercial valuations at Knight Frank undertaking first mortgage valuations for major banks.
Xavier has a Bachelor of Environments and Master of Property from the University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Certificate of Finance from Macquarie University.
